The objective of DIAEF is to provide support to persons with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities through:
- Advocacy for accessibility and education of children with disabilities
- Training of persons with disabilities
- Training of parents of children with disabilities
- Support to girls, youth, and women with disabilities to preserve their dignity and increase their self-esteem.
Poverty increases the risk of disability. Persons with disabilities may be at risk of poverty due to a lack of access to education opportunities, healthcare needs, and employment. It has a negative impact on their living conditions. Children, girls, youth, and women with disabilities are the most marginalized and excluded groups in our communities. Because they lack access to essential services, persons with disabilities do not fully participate in their communities' development.
You may choose to make a financial contribution to the Disability Inclusive Accessibility and Education Fund – DIAEF. Doing so, you help advance the human and civil rights of persons with disabilities through advocacy, education, training, and support.
